In discussing the impetus behind The Bullet Ranch, Sales Manager Jerry Carver points out that the founders—including outdoor sportsmen, former military members, and law-enforcement officers—"saw something missing in the industry ... the absence of a welcome mat." Rather than create just another shooting range that left customers on their own, they aspired to create a friendly, unintimidating environment where the staff greets them by name. In addition to providing advice when purchasing a firearm at the shop, these specialists fix mounts and scopes via gunsmithing services and instruct students in a range of classes. These include courses geared toward shooting an automatic rifle, pistol shooting for women, and qualifying to apply for a concealed-carry license.
