It is a very simple and "rustic" butterfly zoo; however the amount and variety of species of butterflies is fantastic! My daughters absolutely loved it and want to go back next summer!

There were so many beautiful butterflies and everyone was very informed about the butterflies. One of my kids became nervous and wanted to leave and an employee brought him into the waiting area and showed him some very cool caterpillars!

We had an outstanding experience with our grandkids.

What You'll Get

A zoo is the first place most people would go to see a leopard, whereas the second place would be the chainlink enclosure in Donald Sutherland's backyard. Steer clear of Donald Sutherland with this Groupon.

Choose Between Two Options

  • $18 for general admission for four with four passes to the monarch migration celebration in September (up to a $36 value)
  • $36 for general admission for eight with eight passes to the monarch migration celebration in September (up to a $72 value)

The greenhouse-style zoo is home to butterflies from New Guinea, Costa Rica, and Borneo, as well as to North American species that soar across the enclosed expanse. The tropical bugs flit from flower to flower on sunny days but remain fairly stationary—and thus more photogenic—on cloudy days. The facility is closed on rainy days.

The monarch migration celebration begins September 1 and runs through this Groupon's expiration date on September 22. During this time, the zoo will feature six species of monarchs from around the world, and will allow guests to tag North American monarch butterflies to track their migration course.
