Children's Nature Retreat is a 20-acre farm, animal sanctuary and nature reserve in Alpine, CA. With over 100 domestic, livestock and equine rescue and adopted animals, visitors of all ages have a one-of-a-kind experience getting to pet and feed zebras, ostriches, alpacas, camels, llamas, goats, horses, and many others, while learning about their unique backstories, personalities, breed facts, and animal care in an intimate animal encounter like none other. Private tours, field trips and venue space available, and Children's Nature Retreat is open to the public 7 days a week, 10:00 am–7:00pm (April–August), and 10:00 am-4:00 pm (September–March). Reservations are required.
