A lot of us have dreamed about running away to join the circus, but many people don't know the serious benefits that can be found in those three rings. The Circus Academy of Tucson believes that circus is an ideal way for kids and adults to get fit, have fun, gain confidence, and learn to work together. They emphasize that circus can benefit absolutely everyone, and work to create a supportive, inclusive community in all of their classes and camps.

Circus's "big tent" is big enough to encompass a wide array of activities, so there's bound to be something that appeals to almost anyone. There are skills of balance, like walking on a tightrope or pedaling a unicycle; prop work, which can range from juggling to balancing items seal-like on your nose; floor acrobatics, which include stretching and contortion; and eye-catching aerial acrobatics, which range from flying through the air on the trapeze to flipping and gliding on circus silks.
