What You'll Get
When people “got served” in the past, it was usually by witty quips and steaming plates of entrees—both of which were delivered at 140 miles per hour via racquet. Return to this more elegant era with today’s Groupon. For $35, you get three months of full club membership for one person (a $240 value) plus five 90-minute Instant Tennis clinic sessions (a $69 value) at The Club at Harper’s Point, located near the intersection of East Kemper Road and Montgomery Road. Instant Tennis runs from May through June. This Groupon is not valid for current members.
During The Club at Harper’s Point's five 90-minute Instant Tennis sessions, professional instructors will turn rookie racqueteers into vigorous volley virtuosos that return serves with wall-like ferocity and wield rackets like ace-dispensing bazookas. The student-teacher ratios are low, and the werewolf-student ratio especially so, ensuring that no budding tennis whizzes will have to wait to take advantage of The Club's 10 Deco-Turf indoor courts (the same surface used at the U.S. Open), as well as 11 outdoor courts crafted from soft HarTru fodder. Loaner rackets will be provided to those who don't bring their own. The quintet of tutorials ends with a fun cardio tennis party.
Along with the tennis lessons, you can also acquire forehand-blasting fitness through three months of full club membership. During that unusually long training montage, you'll enjoy total access to a fitness center packed with strength and cardiovascular equipment, aerobics and spinning classes, seasonal access to an adult-only pool, a holodeck, and more.
Tennis is game that melds finesse and power into one fluid collection of masterful moves, much like adjusting a TV antenna or pillaging a department store on Christmas Eve. Hone an impressive swatting technique and tone a trim bod with today's Groupon to The Club at Harper’s Point.
Citysearchers give Harper's Point five stars:
- I have been a member for 2 years now and still enjoy going to the club at least 4 days a week. I joined for the fitness center, which is extremely clean with plenty of machines to choose from. I recently started taking some of the aerobics classes which I would definitely suggest to anyone looking to change up their routine! – kkotten80
