The recent 9.0-magnitude earthquake and subsequent tsunami ravaged Japanese cities and towns, killing more than 11,000 men, women, and children and leaving innumerable citizens without a home or basic medical care. While domestic and international aid continues to address the damage caused by the disasters, the sheer amount of necessary care and assistance continues to strain the international organizations that are lending aid. The Comedy & Magic Club is lending a hand to the International Medical Corps of Japan by gathering donations to help the organization continue to alleviate the pain and suffering of those affected by the natural disasters.
The International Medical Corps supports local relief efforts by sending medical professionals to establish mobile clinics offering medical care, coordinate hospital and emergency care services, provide medical training to local residents, and much more. The International Medical Corps has quickly responded to the growing needs of the Japanese people by swiftly providing packaged baby supplies and children's medical aid as the number of young patients has increased and offering counseling services to address the rising mental and emotional strain of evacuees. To help the International Medical Corps continue its relief efforts, The Comedy & Magic Club is offering donors an evening of entertainment, committing 100% of proceeds to the international organization to fund teams currently providing aid in Japan and those who may be dispatched in the future.
Join G-Team and donate $11 to help the Comedy & Magic Club collect funds to help the International Medical Corps provide life-saving medical care to earthquake and tsunami victims. If the club receives at least 25 individual donations, all donors will receive one free ticket to a comedy show on one of the following dates: April 20, April 21, May 3, May 10, May 17, or May 24. Donor tickets have access to the club's museum-inspired showroom—which displays actual props from various comedic movies and performances—and are exempt from the club's two drink or food-item minimum, although patrons are welcome to partake in the club's menu.
Unlike traditional Groupon deals, G-Team campaigns typically don't offer you a "discount" or "savings." So "buyer" beware—when you click "Buy" to donate your time or money to a worthwhile G-Team cause, the only discount you may receive is 100% off free, priceless karma. Read more about G-Team.
