The 75-minute Historic Philadelphia Walking Tour begins near the stone benches outside the main entrance of the National Constitution Center, located on Arch Street, and follows a surprise route to some of more than 20 historical sites including Independence Hall, Congress Hall, Old City Hall, and Signers' Walk. For the Historic Philadelphia Scavenger Hunt, teams of between 2 and 10 urban explorers are given a list of clues, and a knowledgeable history hunter provides hints about Philly’s plethora of historic sites. Modern revolutionaries can bend their brains around tales of Alexander Hamilton's predilection for stinky cheeses and Charles Pinckney's green thumb while hitting the pavement for a knowledge-packed adventure. Effusive patriots let freedom ring at the Liberty Bell and declare undying love to their city, nation, and washer and dryer at Declaration House. Participants are given up to 90 minutes to complete the hunt, converging at its conclusion to learn the results and figure out which team won first prize.
