What You'll Get

Like a good night's sleep, a hearty meal can restore energy, deter sickness, and wile away the painfully boring hours between dental appointments. Partake of restorative dishes with today's Groupon to The Copper Pot in Englewood. Choose between two options:

  • For $15, you get $30 worth of American dinner fare.
  • For $10, you get $20 worth of American lunch fare.

The Copper Pot cooks up regional American recipes and daily specials through the combined culinary know-how of two families. Settle into the Englewood eatery and peruse the capacious menu featuring toothsome appetizers such as crisp chicken wings tossed in a choice of spicy buffalo, spicy teriyaki, or sweet honey-teriyaki sauce and served with ranch or blue-cheese dressing ($6.95). Lunch lingers on the lighter side with savory sandwiches and wraps, including the pulled-pork sandwich packed with barbeque flavor ($7.95), and the grilled portobello bread filler replete with marinated mushroom, sautéed peppers, onions, melted provolone, and olive spread ($6.95). The Copper Pot fires up the grills for dinner with char-marked eats, such as the marinated, 8-ounce salmon fillet languishing under a sesame ginger glaze ($12.95), and the flat-iron steak sizzling with 8 ounces of cooked-to-order meatiness ($15.95). Pair a grilled entree with two sides and a small salad or soup of the day. Desserts call to gaping mouths like sirens luring misguided sailors to their watery storage units, brandishing from-scratch chocolate buttermilk cake crowned with buttermilk frosting ($3.95).

Happy hour fare and drink specials dot each day of the week, featuring $1 Bud Light drafts, $2 seasonal drafts, and discounts on wine, cocktails, and premium or domestic brews from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday, and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sink your fangs into an array of small plates under $5, including spinach artichoke dip ($3.95), cheese fries ($3.95), and a miniature recreation of the world’s most regular-sized cheeseburger with fries ($4.95).

Lunch hours are 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., dinner hours are 4 p.m. to close.

About The Copper Pot

The Copper Pot’s name is inspired, in part, by the great American metaphor of the melting pot in that its menu represents a hodgepodge of classic American dishes such as meatloaf and chicken-fried steak. Some of these recipes have been tweaked and reinvented such as the baked mac 'n' cheese with shrimp and the fish 'n' chips with panko beer batter. Inside the restaurant, staffers attempt to cultivate a neighborhoody vibe, getting to know their clients instead of just yelling "Norm" as people walk in the door.
