Pizza, much like the earth, is circular, flat, and supports the existence of Karl Malone. Sample slam-dunk slices with today's Groupon: for $6, you get two personal pizzas at Crocodile Back Bar (a $13 value). Patrons under 21 are allowed in Crocodile Back Bar until 8 p.m.
While musicians bang out rock riffs on the famed Crocodile stage, pie purveyors entertain tongues with thin-crust personal pizzas, pulled hot from blazing wood-fired ovens. Since 1991, the Crocodile stage has served as the honorary home of such rockers as Nirvana, Pearl Jam, and Cheap Trick, making it a virtual incubator of the Seattle sound. The bar's American-style Neapolitan pies may not be musical, but they still endeavor to delight with harmonious marriages of melted cheese and diners' choice of more than a dozen fresh toppings, including pepperoni, sausage, ham, anchovies, mushrooms, black olives, green peppers. A squirt of Sriracha can make any pizza spicier, and the addition of pineapple can add a tropical sticky-sweetness known to adhere to winning raffle tickets.
