What You'll Get
Welcome to Groupon, Eugene! For our inaugural deal, $6 gets you $12 worth of bagels, drinks, and more at The Daily Bagel located at 4770 Village Plaza Loop. Since this is everyone's first Groupon, allow us to briefly explain how it works.
How Groupon Works
Groupon is a combination of the words group and coupon. Each day, we offer an unbeatable deal on the best of Eugene: restaurants, spas, sporting events, theater, and more. By promising businesses a minimum number of customers, we get discounts you won't find anywhere else. We call it "collective buying power."
If you want to get the deal, just click BUY before the offer ends at midnight. If the minimum number of people (15 for today's deal) sign up by the end of the day, you'll be emailed a gift certificate the next morning. You can print your Groupons or redeem them with our mobile app. Use them whenever you want until the deal expires—today's expires in six months. If not enough people join, no one gets the deal (and you won't be charged), so invite your friends to make sure you get the discount!
The bagel, like the circle from which it takes its shape, is a metaphor for life; it literally never ends. Enjoy eternally enticing eats with today’s Groupon: for $6, you get $12 worth of bagels, drinks, and more at The Daily Bagel.
More than 20 varieties of circle-breads on Daily Bagel's menu are all the doughfruits of the shop's free-thinking cooking method, which eschews boiling the delightful dough in favor of steaming. This makes the bagels fluffy, soft, and eminently biteable—and they can be matchmade with 10 different cream cheese spreads. Zazz up an everything bagel with a little lox spread ($1.10), or juxtapose a seven-shot pack of jalapeño bagels ($5.99) with a 5.5-ounce tub of very-berry cream cheese ($2.99). A 20-ounce cappuccino ($3.25) will keep brain engines oiled until later in the day, when they can refuel with sandwiches such as the bagel-framed Dagwood (roast beef, pastrami, smoked turkey, swiss, lettuce, tomato, onion, and pesto or mayo; $6.99). The Daily Bagel also serves vegan-friendly options, gluten-free quiche, and breakfast sandwiches all day to appease the appetites of early birds and second-shift gravediggers alike.
- The Daily Bagel wants to be the suburban solution for your bagel needs, and it is a solid success…The standouts on this list were the Apple Cinnamon Crunch bagel, which had thin, baked slices of green apples on top, and the impressively rosy lox cream cheese -- a bargain at the same price as the other flavored entries. – Jenn, Good Food Eugene
- Wonderful selection of bagels. The spreads are great - especially the artichoke, parmesan and garlic. Love the atmosphere and the coffee is excellent! – J B., Insider Pages
