Veteran artist Judi Dazzio and her team of professional instructors at Dazzio Art Experience inspire students to new levels of self-expression through skilled artistic techniques. Pupils can select from a number of month-long half-day classes, including a tutorial exploring colorful pastels on sandpaper and a watercolors session that will teach how to smoothly apply watercolor paint and use texturing techniques. The school furnishes all participants with the proper supplies, so students need only focus on providing energy and ideas at each week's class. The studio’s spacious gallery hosts the works of the school’s students and instructors, inspiring current artists to have their aesthetic creations hung in a gallery, museum, or Batman’s personal collection.
Origin Stories: What Happens in the Louvre, Stays in the Louvre
Judi Dazzio’s sanguine and sometimes troubling oil paintings—such as her famed masterpiece, Burning of the Warsaw Ghetto —have added vibrant color to the walls of numerous U.S. and European galleries. In 1987, she founded an early version of Dazzio Art Experience with her husband, Jay, in order to enrich her own artistic pursuits and guide others on their creative journeys. While Jay manages the administrative side of things, Judi spends mornings and afternoons instructing her close-knit cadre of pupils and organizing trips for them to galleries and art museums overseas.
Dazzio Art Experience
Judith Dazzio believes that everyone can be an artist. And at Dazzio Art Experience—a comprehensive art school—she helps everyone from children to adults and novices to professionals harness their creativity. Though she's a painter herself—having won awards for her work with watercolors and acrylics—she caters to range of artistic interests, offering classes in acrylics and watercolors but also branching out into sculpture, illustration, and Photoshop. For the experienced artist, she and her instructors provide developmental classes to help them produce portfolio pieces and host group critique sessions.
Beyond teaching her students the techniques to create, she also displays their works in a gallery attached to her school. Here, rows upon rows of painted canvases, sculptures, and handcrafted jewelry showcase their newly acquired talents.
