Unlike drinking alone at home, drinking in a friendly tavern is a great way to avoid fistfights. Toast to self-brotherhood and self-sisterhood with today's deal: for $25, you get $50 worth of fancy pub grub and refined drinks at The Den of Hollywood. This deal is not valid for takeout, holidays, happy hour, or any other promotions such as the annual "Holiday Happy Hour Takeout Fest."
Located on Sunset Boulevard, The Den is outfitted with a peaked roof, fireplace, and other cozy touches furthering its lodge aesthetic. The warm interior resembles a transplanted Aspen abode complete with a laid-back attitude. Lay your skis and ski-goggle tan lines at the door and warm up with a selection from the menu's preamble such as bacon-wrapped blue cheese–stuffed dates ($8) or angry mac, which is punched and ornery with chorizo, chipotle, and pepper jack ($8). Visit a green scene with a market tossed salad of pomegranate, butternut squash, goat cheese, and candied walnuts ($11), or spring for the fan-favorite TV dinner with boneless crispy chicken, mashed potatoes, corn, and a slab o' brownie ($13).
With two fully stocked bars, there's no excuse not to have a drink in each hand. Dually fill fists with a Fire in the Hole cocktail of Stoli, vermouth, and habanero-stuffed olives ($10) and a pint of Den honey blonde beer ($6), then head to the outdoor patio for a quick smoke or social break. The Den doesn't require reservations months in advance (though reservations are accepted) or feature a velvet rope strangling the entrance, making it an atypical addition to the Strip. It's a welcoming place to relax, get comfortable, and possibly wear adult onesies, while enjoying savory eats and succulent sips.
