Today’s five-pocketed Groupon is more versatile than cheese and cement blocks. For $50, you’ll get $115 worth of designer denim at The Denim Lounge, a one-stop casual shop for women, men, and children-shaped men and women. This Groupon is good at the Oak Street or West Roscoe locations.
The blue-walled boutique houses looks from a variety of hard-to-find labels in a range of washes, cuts, and rises. For women, find form-fitting cigarette jeans from Joe’s ($178), AG skinny jeans ($159), and slouchy boyfriend pants from Paige ($189). Guys can pick up straight-leg jeans from Justin Timberlake’s label, William Rast ($242), or try on relaxed-fit styles from Rich & Skinny ($205). The Denim Lounge stocks more than 20 brands of denim, and at least three lines are priced at less than $115. Get a pair of jeans and a top to match; your Groupon also gets you 20% off a single item of anything in the store that's not jeans (T-shirts, sweaters, dresses, etc.).

The Ballad of “Blue Jeans” Barlow
“Blue Jeans” Barlow was a man’s man, except for being a girl. She was also the toughest private eye in all of New Remoulade, a sleepy bayou town where you could catch more than catfish by hanging out at the docks. When the alarm clock began to blare, the room was still pitch dark and muggy with swamp vapor pouring in through the open transom.
She sat up, cigarette from the night before still dangling in her mouth unlit (tough girls don’t smoke). She pulled on her signature blue jeans and, unable to put her hands on a comb in the darkened bedroom, unceremoniously ran a spider conch through her hair. It was a souvenir from eighth grade, before her school kicked her out for accidentally solving the principal’s murder. Now she was getting her higher education from the lowest rungs of society—perps, scoundrels, you name it.
A blue light began to pulse in the corner, accompanied by a tedious vibration like a passive-aggressive bee standing in line behind you at Target. It was a text message, that much was certain.
“Abercrombie,” she said aloud, not even needing to check.
If her old mentor really was back in town, it could only lead to one thing: hitting.
