What You'll Get
On television, criminal investigators are slick and relentless, which explains why most kids want to grow up to be cops, actors, or a pair of sunglasses. Shine like a snooping star with this Groupon.
$90 for a Four-Course Murder-Mystery Dinner for Two with Two Souvenir Photos (a $180 Value)
The Dinner Detective's cast of sleuths and servers dish up a four-course meal alongside a helping of mystery spiced with impromptu humor. Guests arrive to mingle, sample hors d'oeuvres, and begin questioning their fellow diners as the dressed-down cast circulates freely in the crowd. A mixed green salad and a shocking murder send people scrambling to tables where they work to uncover the killer, who could be any one of the guests or a sentient saltshaker. The story unfolds between courses. For the entree, diners choose from grilled chicken in an herb-infused garlic cream sauce, green-tea-smoked salmon, and pasta primavera with garlic, herbs, and olive oil. White chocolate cheesecake with fresh strawberries rewards the night's trials as the crook is revealed and the guest with the best guess takes home a prize package. About The Dinner Detective
The Dinner Detective eschews campy costumes and plots for an exciting evening of food-accompanied mystery and paranoia, where actors hide among the diners, playing innocent and making everyone a potential suspect. To solve the crime, guests freely interrogate one another, chivvying out clues about the murderer and determining who has a bloodthirsty look in their eyes. Between dramatic deaths and simulated police involvement, guests dig into three-course meals, washed down with bottomless iced tea, coffee, and drinks from the cash bar. The diner who comes closest to solving the mystery through their snooping goes home with a prize basket to show off to their friends or split with the murderer as per their shadowy conspiracy. Prop guns and gunshot sound effects may be used during the performance.
