Running was popular in Europe long before it caught on in America, which is why most races are measured in kilometers instead of miles and why most of the Pilgrims were eaten by bears. Race to the top of the food chain with this Groupon.

$20 for Mud-Race Registration for One ($40 Value)

Runners launch in waves from Wildlife West on August 31, careening through The Dirty Dash's mud-drenched pipes and pits for approximately 3.1 miles. Those aged 14 and older can join in the splashing and slipping, and runners younger than 14 may participate with an adult's supervision and signed waiver. At 3 p.m., long after the final adult wave, guardians may part with $20 for kids aged 2–12 to take on the mud-spattered, 1-mile Piglet Plunge. Friends and family members can spectate for free and purchase water balloons for some cleansing lobs midrace. Participants can pick up their race packets 11 a.m.–7 p.m. on August 29 or 30.

The Dirty Dash

The Dirty Dash is a mud run obstacle course where a military boot camp meets your inner five-year-old’s fantasy. Dashers must overcome a slew of mud-slicked obstacles, including mucky climbing hills, muddy logs, slip 'n slides, and rope bridges. Organizers encourage runners to sign up with friends to foster a fun-loving environment. Further demonstrating its commitment to outdoor high jinks, each event's registration fees, donations, water-balloon sales, and shoe donations benefit local charities. The Dirty Dash is a mud run obstacle course where a military boot camp meets your inner five-year-old’s fantasy.
