Practice your chopstick skills with salmon (two pieces over rice, $5) or octopus (two pieces over rice, $4) sushi before moving on to one of The Drunken Fish’s elegantly plated maki rolls. Try the signature Drunken Fish Roll, tightly wrapped with shrimp tempura, asparagus, and Japanese mayo and crowned with tuna, sprouts, masago, tempura crumbs, and eel sauce (eight pieces, $14.50); it will fill your mouth with raw fish in a much more enjoyable fashion than that time you tried to chug your aquarium. Sushi newbies, meanwhile, may enjoy the familiar flavors of a Philly roll with salmon, avocado, and cream cheese (eight pieces, $7.50), and can even opt to get it deep-fried tempura-style and topped with eel sauce ($8.50) before venturing on to more exotically named fare such as the Red Dragon Roll (eight pieces, $13.50) and the Spiderman Roll (eight pieces, $16.75).

While wielding a bite-sized piece of sushi with chopsticks is challenge enough for some, experts may need more of a challenge. Test your finger-stilts on such dinner entrees as salmon teriyaki with miso soup and house salad ($17.75) or your choice of soba or udon noodles stir-fried with zucchini, carrots, onion, cabbage, and mushrooms ($10). If your fish is not sufficiently drunk, give it something saucy to swim in with a cocktail, such as the sake waterfall—a heady mixture of sake, vodka, and watermelon schnapps with a touch of lime ($7).
