Q:

As an adjunct to Brenda's question, what does the "dpi" refer to? How do I know how many photographs to bring in?

Celeste S.  asked on  Apr 25, 2013

A:

DPI refers to the scanning resolution. As a rule of thumb, 2000 dpi is for 4x6 quality scans, 3000 dpi is for 5x7 quality scans and 4000 dpi is for 8x10 quality scans You may bring in as many photographs as you like.
