One thousand pounds of dissolved Epsom salt gives the float tank’s 94-degree water a density that allows guests to effortlessly float on their backs. From this position, they can meditate, think, or just relax for 90 minutes. The facility offers three different float tanks that are kept in private rooms with a shower and earplugs. If desired, customers can augment their session with services from a licensed acupuncturist or licensed massage therapist. See the FAQ for more information.

The Float Shoppe

Since opening in 2011, each one of The Float Shoppe’s three flotation tanks—the retractable Floataway Tranquility tank, the pool-like Open Float Spa tank, and the spacious Floatarium tank—have contained 1,000 pounds of Epsom salt and a pool of 94-degree water. The mixture is a recipe for relaxation, one that clients regularly use to meditate, solve problems, and flavor their pretzels. Each session provides moments of tranquility for guests, who can also take advantage of their other services that complement the floating experience, including acupuncture, massage, naturopathic medicine, and counseling. New yoga classes facilitate further states of elevated bliss.

Customer Reviews

As always the float was delicious and wonderful, the massage was less than what I expected as the technique my LMT used was more along the lines of aggresive rocking or 'shaking' and was less relaxing than I had wanted.

Hi there! I'm glad you had a such a wonderful float! And of course I'm disappointed you had a less than stellar massage. I am curious if you asked for a relaxing massage as I have become quite specific with my massage therapists over the years about what I need (after all, it's MY time!). Either way, I would love to offer you a discounted massage or float/massage package if you would like to try it out again. We have some very talented massage therapists and I think we could absolutely give you the right relaxing massage. I can't see your name through the Groupon system, so please just send us an email mentioning this conversation and we can give it another go with either the same or a different massage therapist depending on what you would prefer. Thank you for the honest feedback! Sincerely, Dylan Schmidt Co-Owner of the Float Shoppe 503.719.4743
