Q&A with Christopher Spalding, Owner

Apart from your business's main attraction, do you offer any "hidden" services or activities that visitors are always delighted to learn about?
We offer three phases of learning, each with a specific benefit. Group classes are fun and social and allow you to practice your dancing with repetition and guidance. Private lessons give you the opportunity to perfect and advance your skills with one of our highly-qualified, certified ballroom instructors helping you every step of the way. Our Open Dance Parties are a great way to put your skills to work. Dancers come from all over to share their love of dance and our staff is there to help everyone feel comfortable and keep them dancing.

When and how did you first develop a passion for your work?
Both of our owners have Degrees in Dance and Education, so a ballroom dance studio was a wonderful fit. Ballroom allows us to inspire people of all ages to find this wonderful hobby. We strive to offer instruction that is at the top of our industry in a state-of-the-art studio, all while maintaining a welcoming environment that opens the ballroom up to everyone. We bring more than two decades of experience into our school everyday, but we love the fact that we are still able to learn and grow.

Is there anything else you want to add that we didn't cover?
The Fort Wayne Ballroom Company was awarded the Top Studio Award for the 2015 Global Dancesport Series, thus earning us the title of Top Studio in North America for 2015. We also have numerous teachers who are consistently ranked in the Top 10 Teachers in the Country.
