The Game Grid Arcade
Adam Pratt loves arcade games. Need proof? He wrote the book The Arcade Experience: A Look Into Modern Arcade Games and Why They Still Matter, he runs the blog Arcade Heroes, and he owns The Game Grid Arcade, a mecca for lovers of rare games. There, players battle for the honor of high score on The Act: An Interactive Comedy—a game so rare, it was never officially released and the developing company has since folded. Other exclusive games include Dariusburst Another Chronicle; play it here, or hop a plane to Japan, which is the only other place you can find it.
But it's not all rare and unfamiliar games. There are plenty of crowd-pleasers too, including Donkey Kong, Big Buck, and pinball machines based on Shrek and Indiana Jones. But one of The Game Grid's biggest selling points is that most games only cost a quarter. And Adam takes so much pride in his arcade, all the games are sanitized each day.
