The Grotto Room
Much like an actual grotto, The Grotto Room is tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The suburban steakhouse's menu was personally designed by its chef and restauranteur Michael Lachowicz, who has been lauded by Bon Appétit and The International Wine & Food Society, among others. As a result, the cuisine features only top-quality ingredients. The shrimp cocktail, for instance, features lemon-poached, chilled jumbo shrimp with bloody-mary sauce made in-house, and the steak dishes use only prime, Midwestern corn-fed beef that has been aged for 21 to 45 days.
The food isn't the only draw here, though. The space also accommodates large gatherings, from private parties to corporate meetings. But if PowerPoint presentations outlining next year's sales projections doesn't sound like your cup of tea, you can always catch one of the regular live bands or DJs that take over the intimate space's state-of-the-art sound system from time to time.
