About A Chat with The Guitar Store
What services does your business offer and what makes your business stand out from the competition? The Guitar Store is Seattle's locally owned guitar specialty store filled with a large selection of gear from beginner to professional grade. We will give you great service from a staff of players who want to offer you a chance to have fun. There is a reason people tell friends to shop here.
Of the products you sell, which are your favorites? Over 400 effects pedal in stock, the largest selection of products from Fender, Mesa Boogie, Paul Reed Smith, Breedlove, Reverend, Supro, Gretsch, Vox, EVH, and more.
What was the inspiration to start or run this business? I found myself unemployed in 2010 as the result of slow downs from the Great Recession. A friend suggested that instead of searching for jobs working for "The Man," I open the guitar store I always wanted to go to. My wife Heidi agreed to it and we opened our doors six months later.
What do you love most about your job? We offer a place for teachers to meet students for instruction. Every few months teachers offer recitals. There is no better feeling than to see someone start playing an instrument and six months later, play in public for the first time. We have built a community here that is really blooming.
