"High-octane" might seem like an odd description for a string quartet, but the Aeolus Quartet isn't exactly normal. Formed in 2008 at the Cleveland Institute of Music, Aeolus brings together four of the finest young musicians performing today. They've won numerous awards, performed across North America, Europe and Asia and were the Graduate Resident String Quartet at the Juilliard School. They're also known for their extensive and innovative community outreach programs. Now they're performing classics from Haydn, Bartok and Dvorak at Nichols Auditorium.
On the program: Haydn’s String Quartet Op. 64, No. 6 in E-flat Major; Bartók’s String Quartet No. 2; Dvořák’s String Quartet Op. 105 in A-flat Major
