While seated around a Tuscan table, 8–12 people learn how different types of oils, balsamic, rubs, spices, dips, and other seasonings can elevate a meal. Each BYOB class includes tapas-sized portions of bread for dipping, an appetizer or salad, main dish, and dessert. Classes take place throughout the week beginning at 7 p.m, with special Sunday classes at 11:30 a.m. Call ahead to schedule.
The Heart Of The Gourmet
Kevin Roth used to tour the globe as a dulcimer player and recording artist. It was mere chance that, on one such tour, he wandered into a tasting room for olive oil and balsamic vinegar. But the flavors—and the experience—stuck with him, and he opened up The Heart Of The Gourmet. In addition to stocking infused olive oils, balsamics, and other seasonings and rubs, alongside pottery and furniture, he also holds tasting classes. The classes recapture Kevin’s initial encounter, teaching attendees how to dress food with new flavors.
