Since its founding, the organization has taken over the operation of ten historic buildings and a museum gallery, all of which have become part of a 10-acre museum complex in Sam Houston Park. The Heritage Society is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that collects, preserves, exhibits, and celebrates the diverse history of the Houston region.
