Snow in West Dover, Vermont, The Hermitage Inn harbors travelers within a haven of panoramic views, nine miles of trails throughout the Vermont forest, and many of its original 1842 bed frames and room accents. Guests staying in the carriage house can enjoy the rustic comfort of exposed rafters, high ceilings, and log cabin–style furniture, and guests in the wine wing can appreciate the sounds and sights of the Haystack Mountains and a nearby babbling brook.
