What You'll Get
Without hotels, the only way Americans could go on vacation would be with thimble joyrides or by taking a chance and going directly to jail. Roll into comfort with today's Groupon to The Hermitage Inn in West Dover, Vermont. Choose between the following options:
• For $159, you get a one-night stay and $50 worth of fine dining (up to a $345 value).
• For $289, you get a two-night stay and $75 worth of fine dining (up to a $665 value).
Nestled at the base of Mount Snow, The Hermitage Inn harbors travelers within a haven of panoramic views, nine miles of trails throughout the Vermont forest, and many of its original 1842 bed frames and room accents. Guests staying in the carriage house can enjoy the rustic comfort of exposed rafters, high ceilings, and log-cabin-style furniture, and lodgers in the wine wing can appreciate the sounds and sights of the Haystack Mountains and a nearby babbling brook.
Fine dining at The Hermitage is held in its main dining room, with seasonal entrees that have included butter-poached Maine lobster with cilantro and butternut-squash ravioli ($39) and wild salmon with apple, herbs, and Boyd Farm celery ($30). The Hermitage Inn is also home to a pub with cocktails, drinks, and lighter gourmet bar fare, as well as a dining table within its exhibition wine cellar, which is stocked with roughly 5,000 bottles of vino.
