A Chat with The Hollywood Scoop
What services does your business offer and what makes your business stand out from the competition?
We are a themed dining experience from when you walk through the door onto the red carpet. Full-service dining [provided] by a silver-screen celebrity, princess, or superhero. You never know who may be waiting on you while you enjoy the movie of the day on our screen and have fresh, homemade food!
What is one of your most popular offerings? How is it prepared?
We have several top sellers. Our hand-dipped, battered, and fried-to-a-golden-color fish and chips is number one. We hand-cut our french fries to order. Tied for first place is our Trintie~Heaven Delight Signature: fresh-baked turkey, stuffing, and cran-mayo sauce served on a homemade cheese roll with french fries.
What was the inspiration to start or run this business?
Our three beautiful daughters are professional models. Often as we travel, we get to dine in fun places and we wanted to bring our experiences closer to home. Family is very important to us and to see the smiles on both children’s and adults’ faces as they choose items from our creative, movie-themed menu is great.
What do you love most about your job?
Our staff loves being able to dress up in character and have fun interacting with our guests. The special, themed events we hold—such as breakfast with the princesses, 50s night, and “Rocky Horror Picture Show” adult night—are some of our favorites. When our guests dress up and join us, it makes it fun, not work!
The Hollywood Scoop
Perusing the menu at The Hollywood Scoop is a lot like wandering through a video store, but after you order, you get a sandwich and not Mystic Pizza. This themed family restaurant offers delicious, fresh food that plays on everything Hollywood from movie titles to character names. Diners can start with an order of The Lord of the Onion Rings or Vincent Vega's hand-cut french fries, or go for something heartier like the Nacho Libre with beef chili, cheese, and jalapeños loaded onto tortilla chips. Meals range from sandwiches (Big Papi with corn beef and grilled roast beef) and seafood (Blue Crush fish tacos) to hot dogs (The Pluto with cheese) and quesadillas (Who's The Boss with chicken, bacon, and cheese). Delivery is also offered for those who need food pairings for all-day movie marathons.
