Nine out of 10 scientists agree that a healthy human face needs oxygen, after studying the effects of encasing the 10th scientist’s head in an upside-down fish bowl. Nicole Willis, senior aesthetician and owner of The Ibrow Studio, oversees facial and body treatments that both bolster complexions and relax limbs. During a 30-minute maintenance facial, a skin analyst consults with the client to discern the needs of their cells and unlock repressed memories of mitosis before engulfing them in nasal-stimulating aromatic botanicals and ear-massaging audio tracks. Cleansers and steam delve deep into pores to vanquish accumulated grime as gentle exfoliators sweep away patches of dead cells. A décolleté-to-scalp massage eases tension up the trunk before a mask, toner, and moisturizers leave the skin firm and vibrant. While substances settle into the skin, relaxation specialists turn their attention to arm and leg protuberances with a hand and foot kneading, with or without heated stones. Masks for the hands and feet lavish overworked body parts in vivifying moisture without the need for greasy lotions or Crisco-soaked mittens and slippers.

The Ibrow Studio

The Ibrow Studio’s owner and senior aesthetician, Nicole Willis, has been honing her techniques since 1999, and has grown so proficient that she shares them in workshops at the studio and on KSBI’s All About You. Willis’s specialty lies in the artful clearing and shaping of body hair using the NuFree soy hair-removal system. Although the substance resembles wax, it remains at a comfortable 98.6 degrees and fights bacteria as Willis smoothes it on to shape elegant eyebrows or tidy the bikini line. Her nimble hands further enhance eyes with Reese Robert eyelash extensions, and her expertise with makeup contouring and seamlessly integrating tiny gargoyles into evening looks reflect her interest in enhancing facial architecture overall. A skin analysis helps the team tailor facials to each skin type, and complimentary aromatherapy turns body scrubs and wraps into multisensory indulgence.
