About The Jasmine Dragon
It was a self-defense class that introduced Laura to American Kenpo in 2008. But it wasn't long before she realized that the martial-arts practice is not only an effective defense technique, it also helps boost self-empowerment and physical wellness. In the decade since that first class, Laura has been awarded her black belt, Sensei status, and yoga instructor certification, and it's with all this knowledge and patience that she opened The Jasmine Dragon.
The Jasmine Dragon is a martial-arts and yoga dojo where students improve their discipline, coordination, and connection to the mind and body through karate fundamentals and yoga meditations. There's no physical requirement to begin these private or group sessions—Sensei Laura keeps in mind each participant's unique set of abilities as she guides them through this restorative, and non-competitive, activity.
