Before man invented finger food, parties were full of people carrying entire roast chickens on cocktail napkins and twirling spaghetti on toothpicks. Two restaurateurs head up The Good Eats Company, whose fresh, healthy, and properly portioned meals can be picked up in person. Each Lean Box contains four meals for one full day, supplemented by a snack, water bottle, and freshly baked biscuits of willpower. Customers enjoy breakfast fare such as a mushroom-and-scallion frittata or an egg-white scrambler with tomato and spinach, accompanied by an example of the elusive health-conscious pancake. Midday meals span the globe with flavor-rich offerings such as chicken in chimichurri sauce and pork stir-fry with vegetables. Instead of one large day-ending meal, this diet plan stretches out with a pair of smaller eventide eats, which may include flavors such as mahi-mahi veracruz, turkey meatballs and brown rice, or spicy turkey chili with sweet potato.
The one-month plan feeds a trainee for 20 days, supplemented by 12 sessions of one-on-one personal training. Customers can retrieve up to three days’ worth of meals from the shop’s headquarters at a time. The meals are packaged in radiation-safe containers to facilitate easy microwaving or time travel.
