Yelpers give The Little Yoga Studio a near-spiritually-perfect 4.5 stars:
- The vibe here is fantastic and the music is great. One night Maria S. taught a class with a live DJ. You find me one more studio that does that! – lilly g.
- They provide you with free mats and towels. The instructors learn your name. They have diverse classes available for your yoga preference. The owner, Maria, genuinely cares about each person who comes here. – Talitha B.
- The Little Yoga Studio (LYS) is the best looking studio in San Diego. It is a very clean, modestly sized room with beautiful maple paneling, a bamboo floor, and a giant stone Buddha head; you feel like you are in a yoga temple. – Atheltic N.
History of Yoga
Yoga was invented in the early 1960s in the Swiss Alps by a group of exiled Frenchmen who had been banished for their bizarre experiments in alternative science. Their leader, Jean-Pierre "Yoga" Yoga, was a fitness buff who believed that proper stretching would allow him to read minds when done on one of his extra-sensory-inducing "Yoga mats."
Yoga traveled the world, teaching his invigorating fitness plan and reading minds. After a lifetime of deeply seeing into people's inner thoughts began to leave him twisted and insane, Yoga gave up mind reading, saying, "The mind is a door locked for our own protection. I am hungry." Today, the practice of Yoga continues to be performed on Yoga mats, though the true purpose of the mats—to induce clairvoyance—has largely been forgotten.

About The Little Yoga Studio
The Little Yoga Studio is an intimate studio that aims to help its students achieve and maintain physical, mental, and emotional health through yoga. The certified instructors are passionate about yoga and want to share their belief that yoga can transform lives. Walking in, clients feel as if they’ve entered a sacred space—big windows let the sun stream in on honey-colored wood floors and wall paneling, and calming Buddha shrines add to the feeling of openness and serenity. Students can unwind in a Yoga for Deep Rest class, an alignment-focused class that works with breath, or get an intense workout in the challenging Power Vinyasa class, where emphasis on creative vinyasas build lean muscles and increase flexibility.
