Q:

How much painting experience is necessary for this class and is it watercolor or oil/acrylic? Judith M

Judith M.  asked on  Jul 18, 2012

A:

Hi Judith. The step by step instructions are designed to be for anybody, so most people who come through on a weeknight class really have very little experience. The paintings come out great, but it's more about having fun and letting loose. We also offer an Open Paint class on Sundays that often has people ranging in all skill levels, we offer as much or as little help as you want on those days...

Q:

Would I be able to learn how to use oil paints for my painting with this class?

Hattie  asked on  Jul 18, 2012

A:

Hey there Hattie. On a regular class I'd say it's probably not really possible since we're all using acrylics with the step by step classes. However, we do offer Open Paint classes on Sunday that this could work for. I don't really keep the supplies around for the storage and cleanup of oil paints though, so you'd have to bring all your own supplies with and take them with you, since they're hazardous to keep around in an unsafe way. Hope this helps, also I'm pretty flexible with this kind of stuff, so call me if your situation is unique and I'm sure we can work something out. Thanks.

Q:

I was wondering if you know which step by step painting you will be teaching? I went to your website but didn't see a painting class painting? Thank you, Marcie Ringo marciekreed@gmail.com

Marcie D.  asked on  Jul 17, 2012

A:

Hi Marcie. If you go to the website there is a tab along the top that says Paintings Calendar. If you click on that tab it will show you the paintings for the upcoming 2 months. You can click any painting on the calendar (or there is a small calendar on the homepage you can also click) and that will take you to the description of that day's class and also leads you to the registration. Thanks, hope this helps.

Q:

is the $35 deal for two people or for two classes?

Samantha K.  asked on  Jul 17, 2012

A:

Hey Samantha, there are two deals going right now. One is for one person and it includes a glass of wine or beer with it. That one is the $20 deal ($35 regular). The other option is $40 ($80 regular) and it is good for two people, also including a drink for each person. Both are only 1 class, the main difference is 1 person or 2. Hope this helps, feel free to post or call if you have another question.

Q:

If you purchase the deal for 2 people do you both work on your own painting?

michelle s.  asked on  Jul 17, 2012

A:

Hey Michelle, yes the deal for two people includes everything for both. Everybody in our classes works on their own canvas.
