What You'll Get
Welcome to Groupon, North Jersey! For our inaugural deal, you get $50 worth of fondue and dunkable dessert for $20 at The Magic Pot, located at 934 River Road in Edgewater. Since this is everyone's first Groupon, allow us to briefly explain how it works.
How Groupon Works
Groupon is a combination of the words group and coupon. Each day, we offer an unbeatable deal on the best of North Jersey: restaurants, spas, sporting events, theater, and more. By promising businesses a minimum number of customers, we get discounts you won't find anywhere else. We call it "collective buying power."
If you want to get the deal, just click BUY before the offer ends at midnight. If the minimum number of people (20 for today's deal) sign up by the end of the day, you'll be emailed a gift certificate the next morning. You can print your Groupons or redeem them with our iPhone app. Use them whenever you want until the deal expires—today's expires in a year. If not enough people join, no one gets the deal (and you won't be charged), so invite your friends to make sure you get the discount!
Now that spinach has been deemed a performance-enhancing vegetable, Popeye's future shortstop career hinges on his transition to cheese. Get a sailor's worth of energizing, melted cheese with today's deal: for $20, you get $50 worth of fondue and dunkable desserts at The Magic Pot in Edgewater.
The Magic Pot's menu offers international flavors of melted goodness. Cheesy appetizer dipping bowls, which are served with bread and apples ($15 for 1–2 people), include bruschetta (with mozzarella melted in white wine with fresh basil, Roma tomatoes, and garlic) and queso fundido (a blend of cheddar and monterey jack melted in apple cider with fresh cilantro, roasted peppers, and sweet onions). Burbling hotly like the magma in volcanoes, The Magic Pot's entrees overflow with savory bites of chicken, beef, pork, and seafood. Slam-dunk beef, teriyaki pork, and honey-garlic chicken in sesame, teriyaki, and Asian-chili sauces ($21 for one, $32 per couple), or teach Tiger shrimp, salmon, and scallops to swim in garlic-pesto, lime-dill, and Cajun dip sauces ($24 for one, $36 per couple). Seasoned broth-based fondues are also available.
The Magic Pot's dippy desserts ($15 for 1–2, $22 for 3–4) are made with Callebaut Belgian chocolate. Mix milk chocolate, peanut butter, graham crackers, and melty marshmallows to make your mouth think it's rafting down a fluffernutter river aboard a s'more. Or create caramel-nut clusters with milk chocolate, dark chocolate, and buttery caramel. All fondue desserts are served with fruit, brownies, marshmallows, and rice-krispy treats for dunking. Couples can customize a three-course magic feast ($80) and bring their own bottle of wine to wash it all down.
