About The Maize at Little Darby Creek
In addition to berries and pumpkins, the 125-acre farm by Little Darby Creek also cultivates fun. The Maize at Little Darby Creek was transformed from a Holstein cow farm into its current state more than 10 years ago by agriculturalists Randy and Jayne Rausch and their children. While this family is the fifth generation of owners to till this plot of land, they're certainly the first to fill its grounds with family-friendly activities. The central attraction, a 9-acre corn maze, changes its theme every year, staying challenging with signposts that make you solve puzzles to proceed and spray you with pumpkin pie-filling if you try to sneak past. Meanwhile, a kid-sized train, giant inflatable bouncing pad, farm-animal petting zoo, and outdoor laser-tag arena encourage visitors of all ages to play outside.
The farm also hosts a range of traditional seasonal events, ranging from berry-picking in the spring and summer to a haunted corn maze in the autumn. In the fall, Randy also greets visitors with a special family tradition: buckets of homemade kettle corn.
