About The Marina at Cherry Creek

With its acres upon acres of land, which includes a horse stable and model-airplane field, there's a lot to take in at Cherry Creek State Park. One thing, however, is hard to miss—the enormous reservoir that The Marina at Cherry Creek calls home. And like the park it's housed within, there's no shortage of things to do. The Marina is divided into two areas: The Wharf and The Lake House. Read on to learn more about each one:

The Wharf

The Wharf features rentals and concessions, along with The Princess Laura, a double-decker paddlewheel riverboat that offers guests sunset tours of the picturesque park. Those who prefer to hit the water on their own can rent the following gear, all of which includes safety equipment and life jackets:

  • 14-foot gas-powered fishing boat
  • Single-person jet ski or kayak
  • 16-foot canoe
  • 18- or 20-foot pontoon boat
  • Standup paddleboard

The Lake House

The Lake House is nestled in The Marina at Cherry Creek and offers options as expansive as the views. Guests can hold their ceremony with a backdrop of sailboats or host their party in the mountain-lodge-meets-yacht-club Great Hall. Cocktails and dinner can be enjoyed on the 2,500 sq. ft. Upper Deck or Tiki Beach, while corporate crews can be motivated with kayak, canoe or stand up paddleboard races. Finally, live music and dinner rocks the lake while guests are aboard The Princess Laura, The Lake House's double-decker paddlewheel river boat.
