It was a really cute museum and although our stay was very short. I was looking to explore more of the history of Atlanta and it really provided a little bit of everything. What stood out to me was the artistic interactive virtual tour, you get a mousepad to navigate and find the summaries to all the different arts by a specific artists.

The galleries are well organized and packed with information for such a small museum. Our docent took us through each room on a private tour. He was nice and very informative. After about 45 of his wealth of knowledge we were a little tired and wanted to just browse ourselves.

We were surprised by this museum. Very interesting exhibits on Atlanta and Georgia history, many photographs. But what we enjoyed the most was a totally unexpected exhibit on the Bodmer Papyri — papyri containing the oldest known written texts of the Gospels of Luke and John. Two leaves of these ancient texts — not reproductions — are on display. It was breathtaking.
