A 2007 UNICEF study found that an estimated 25 million orphans live in India—many of them have been placed in overcrowded and underfunded government orphanages, while others live on the streets. The Miracle Foundation was created in 2000 by Austin native Caroline Boudreaux to provide a solution to these unhealthy and unsafe living conditions. Now in its 10th year of operation, The Miracle Foundation serves more than 300 orphaned children at three different sites in some of eastern India's most impoverished areas. At each of these sites, children are placed in family-style environments with up to nine “siblings” and a loving “mother” who is trained to provide nurturing care and parenting, allowing the children to develop life-long attachments. The Miracle Foundation's children also receive nutritious meals, healthcare, and college-prep education. Join G-Team and donate $10 to help The Miracle Foundation provide at least one new set of bunk beds to orphaned children. For every $250 raised, two more children will get to call "dibs" on a new bunk bed, giving them a cozy and comfortable place to sleep. Unlike traditional Groupon deals, G-Team campaigns typically don't offer you a "discount" or "savings." So "buyer" beware—when you click "Buy" to donate your time or money to a worthwhile G-Team cause, the only discount you may receive is 100% off free, priceless karma. Read more about G-Team.
