Q:

what is the cost for installation? is it inlcuded in the groupon? mine is Honda Civic 2006 Ex how much it costs me?

Satyakrishna J.  asked on  Nov 28, 2012

A:

Labor is included in the Groupon yes. The additional charge of $79 for your 2006 Honda Civic is NOT for installation...it is for the "Vehicle Specific Interface Module" (XpressKits PKALL Module) that is necessary for your specific vehicle. Many vehicles do not require any interface module, some are $39, $49, $69, $79, $99, and even $119 making the Vehicle Specific Parts impossible to include in an across the board price...hence you have additional costs. SOME Honda Civics will not need an interface module. If your Civic does not need this module, you will not be charged for it upon installation. Thanks!

Chris K.  asked on  Nov 29, 2012

A:

This Groupon does NOT apply to Manual Transmission Vehicles. If you have a manual transmission and would like a Remote Starter you will need to come in to the store and purchase in store. You would be looking at $288.68 out the door for Remote Starter on your Saturn. Thanks!

$79 additional, and you will NEED 2 KEYS upon installation. This is due to a Transponder in your key. Thanks!

Q:

How about a 2005 Prius?

Mike C.  asked on  Nov 30, 2012

A:

Mike, some Toyota Prius's will need the Interface and some will not. Plan for the worst, hope for the best. Worst case scenario, you'd be looking at $79 additional when you come in for installation. Best case, $0 additional. Thanks!!

Q:

My wife has an '04 explorer. will an interface module be necessary? The vehicle already has a keyless entry/trunk release...will this be defunct with the addition of a remote starter? thanks.

tommy  asked on  Nov 29, 2012

A:

Tommy, your Factory Keyless Entry will still work the same way. However, if you get the Python 413 you will not need to use the Factory Keyless anymore if you so choose. You will however need an interface module, costing $79. You will also NEED 2 KEYS when you come for installation. Thanks!

Q:

Josh, what about older cars? Mine is a 1995 BMW 318ti and I would like to get the keyless entry unit. Can this work?

Shelli T.  asked on  Nov 30, 2012

A:

Shelli, my computer shows me that IF you do need an interface module you would be looking at $39 and a key. Meaning you would lose a key. However I know from experience that a lot of the older BMW's will not need an interface so I would say Hope for the Best, Plan for the Worse, and make sure you bring an extra key with you when you come for installation. But I would say that more than likely you will have no additional costs upon installation. Just remember, being a BMW it may take a little bit longer considering the doorlock connections are behind a vent behind the glovebox. Thanks Much!

2004 Subaru Forester .....any special install fees?

michael B.  asked on  Nov 29, 2012

A:

You may or may not need an interface. I would not be able to tell you for sure (due to it being a Subaru) until you bring the vehicle in. Worst case scenario you would be looking at $39 additional and you will NEED A 2nd KEY....that 2nd key you will NOT get back. Please stop in with the vehicle if you would like to be sure before you purchase Groupon. Thanks!
