There are many activities that should not be performed on an empty stomach, including swimming, surgery, and swimming 30 minutes after having your appendix removed. Acquire activity fuel with today's Groupon: for $10, you get $25 worth of seasonal breakfast, lunch, and dinner fare at The Morning Glory Café, located in Black Mountain's Cheshire Village.

The Morning Glory Café silences rumbling guts with an eclectic assortment of seasonal dishes that eschews trans-fats and partially hydrogenated oils and showcases organic produce and sustainable, hormone-free meats. Early risers and hungry insomniacs alike can peruse the breakfast menu, where they'll find fresh-baked quiche du jour ($7.95) and shrimp and grits—tiger shrimp sautéed with garlic and served alongside andouille sausage, diced tomatoes, and poblano peppers ($11.95). A variety of gourmet sandwiches and wraps welcome lunch crowds (starting at $6.50), and a tannic glass from the extensive wine list preps palates for supper and area rugs for cleaning demos ($6–$8.50). The café serves up a dinner menu featuring third-pound beef burgers from grass-fed cattle (starting at $8), local Sunburst Farm trout ($17.50), and vegetarian-friendly squash stuffed with basmati rice, pistachios, dried cranberries, and manchego cheese ($13).
