The Murder Mystery Company’s Santa’s Slain forces diners to discover latent detective skills during an evening of faux fatalities that unfold over a three-course meal. Between an introductory spring salad and a clandestine epilogue of a fittingly secretive dessert surprise, guests nosh on fare such as beef topped with au jus sauce and accompanied by vegetables and potatoes, grilled chicken breast in mushroom sauce served with broccoli norman on a bed of rice, or vegetarian baked ziti. A sudden death interrupts the feasting, and a hapless detective arrives to accuse one of the audience members. Tablemates work together to clear their good names and allocate blame on whoever took the last biscuit, slyly sleuthing and sorting out clues while scanning the room for guilty eyes and ready-to-flee hairpieces.
Though drinks are not included with this Groupon, investigators can indulge in numerous drink specials. Afterward, each participant will receive a photographic slideshow of the performance to put in their case file or show at their next Clue fan-club meeting. In January, The Murder Mystery Company will begin performing Totally 80’s, Totally Murder.
The Murder Mystery Company
It's not every day that a dinner with friends risks a murder accusation. That's a good possibility for the guests of The Murder Mystery Company, who find themselves in the middle of a investigation for which any one of them could stand accused by a hapless detective. During each interactive dinner, the company's troupe of professional improv actors ignites the dining room with entertaining outbursts and hilarious one-liners in an effort to divulge clues and redirect guilt. Meanwhile, guests work together to sniff out the real culprit, which is definitely not the school janitor in a mask. Birthday parties, bachelorette celebrations, and corporate events can also get in on the interactive action by scheduling a private murder-mystery dinner.
