What You'll Get
Life is full of unanswered questions, such as who really built the pyramids, why swiss cheese has holes, and what the J in Michael J. Fox stands for. Get to the bottom of a solvable mystery with today's Groupon: for $29, you get one ticket to dinner and a whodunit performance by The Murder Mystery Company at Chaffin's Barn Dinner Theatre (a $60 value). Today's deal is good for any date on the schedule.
The Murder Mystery Company challenges detective skills and untested telepathic abilities with a two-hour murder-mystery dinner show, an evening of mock murder and faux fatalities unfolding over the pickings of an all-you-can-eat buffet. Between a soup-de-jour starter and a baked-apple or peach-streusel ending, guests will nosh on their choice of a savory roast beef au jus, a plate of lasagna, or rosemary chicken. While mouths are busy with the cuisine, minds can clue in on the trouble afoot. The comic Til Death Do Us Part mystery begins with both a wedding and a murder, followed by a detective arriving on the scene to locate the perpetrator in the audience. Work with your tablemates to clear your good name, slyly sleuthing and sorting out clues while sketching blueprints for a deerstalker hat with integrated deer radar.
Although drinks are not included with this Groupon, there may be drink specials available during the show. Lap up libations while scanning the room for guilty eyes and hairpieces preparing to flee at any moment. All patrons will have access to an online photo slideshow from the performance as a way to fondly remember the light-hearted night of death. Guests are advised to arrive at least 30 minutes before the show.
