Very sorry for the confusion! You'll just need to start your membership by the expiration date, which is 9/30/13. Once you start your membership, it will be active for an entire year.

The groupon site and previous question says this only provides access to the permanent exhibits. However on the NGC website, it says a membership includes access to special exhibits. Which is accurate for this deal?

When stating "invitations to openings and members' events", does it mean we get to see the exhibition first, though paying for it, as it is the case with the CNA or is it a REAL invitation, meaning you do not have to pay when accepting the gracious invitations to openings and members' events?

Very sorry, but there is not a separate Groupon price for seniors. The two Groupon options are as follows:

$45 for a one-year individual membership (a $90 value)
$55 for a one-year family membership, for two adults and children age 12–17 residing in the same household (a $110 value)

Each membership grants visitors a year’s worth of free admission to the permanent collection, as well as invitations to exhibition openings and members' events, and discounted bookstore purchases, workshops, and arts events produced by the gallery.
