This series of Sunday afternoon holiday concerts enriches your visit to The New York Botanical Garden's annual Holiday Train Show. Ensembles like Le Train Bleu, which performs Vivaldi's popular "Winter" movement from The Four Seasons, add extra holiday cheer to an already festive event in which large-scale model trains zip around a quarter-mile of fantastic landscape filled with replicas of 150 New York landmarks -- including the Brooklyn Bridge, the Chrysler Building and the Empire State Building -- created with nuts, bark, leaves and other plant parts. Intimate post-performance conversations with the artists, moderated by series curator and composer Laura Kaminsky, allow for unique insights into the music and the music-making process. Plus, this year also features several concerts just for kids, allowing them to learn about different instruments and introduce them to the wonderful world of classical music.
Your ticket includes the Winter Harmonies Concert and access to the Holiday Train Show. Family shows are at 2:00pm and traditional concerts are at 4:00pm.
