Overseen by husband-and-wife team Tonny Tristanto and Linda Thojib, The Noodle Bowl permits guests to pluck from an array of noodle, meat, and sauce options to craft customized Asian entrees inspired by Chinese, Japanese, Malaysian, and Indonesian cuisine. (Click for pages one, two, and three of the menu.) To craft the summer-roll starter, chefs cocoon shrimp in lettuce, mint leaves, and rice noodles alongside a pool of peanut sauce for dipping or inking an edible ode to George Washington Carver on a napkin. Fried won tons and steamed-dumpling appetizers burst with savory chicken, beef, and green-onion filling. For the main course, morsels of chicken, beef, or shrimp steep in a zesty curry paste and coconut milk in the curry platter, and the pineapple sauté dish imbues a chosen meat with house-special sauce and long-lost memories of Hawaiian vacations. Green-seeking forks or homesick pandas can also opt to sift through the vegetable bowl’s garden of fried tofu and herbivorous eats. With any entree, slurp up one of five noodle variants—egg noodles, clear noodles, rice noodles, flat rice noodles, or steamed jasmine rice—and clamp toppings of broccoli, beansprouts, and bok choy betwixt chopsticks.
