Q:

I have a 2006 Mercedes E Class CDI (Diesel), do you perform oil changes on diesel engines, I believe my capacity is 8.4 quarts and as I understand I would pay $3.85 for the extra oil.

Russell M.  asked on  Aug 21, 2012

A:

Hi Russell, Thank you for your question. We do service diesel engines however, our regular diesel oil is not a synthetic oil. After researching specs on your vehicle, the 2006 Mercedes E Class CDI Diesel requires the European Blended Full Synthetic oil 5w/40. We do carry this oil in the Amsoil Brand @ $12.50 per qt. used. The Groupon discount would be applied to the overall cost of the service.

Q:

Given your $10-$15 extra per quart for full synthetic and that most vehicles actually require 5 quarts, thiws supposed deal would end yup costing $75 to $90. That's way more than I pay for a full synthetic oil change now. Am I missing something?

Duke  asked on  Aug 20, 2012

A:

Hi Duke, Thank you for your question. For the 100% Synthetic Oil we use Name Brand Amsoil products.

Would it be possible to upgrade to Mobil 1 synthetic. If so, how much for 5.5 quart oil change? What type of filter is being used with the oil change?

Hi Damien, Thank you for your question. I'm sorry but we do not carry Mobil 1. We use Amsoil products for Synthetic Oil.

Q:

Is there an extra charge for a pickup truck? The truck is a 5.3L V8 engine. What is the "Extra $3.85 fee per quart"? Is this on top of $19?

Manuel S.  asked on  Aug 20, 2012

A:

Hi Manuel, Thank you for your question. There is no extra charge for a pick up truck. The $3.85 per quart is charged in addition to the $19 Your truck may take 6 quarts, that would be $7.70 In additional oil.

Q:

What is the extra charge for a quart of Amsol in addition to the 3.85 charge? Is the filter free? Is there an extra fee for diesel cars? Any other fees?

Mary R.  asked on  Aug 19, 2012

A:

Hi Mary, Thank you for your question! To upgrade to the 100% Synthetic Amsoil would cost $10-$15 per quart used depending on the type of Amsoil requested. The filter would be included unless it is a canister/cartridge filter which varies depending on the filter.
