With Trump, Carson and Hilary (not Rodham) Clinton in the running, this young election season is already providing plenty of comedy opportunities for the long-running DC parody masters known as The Capitol Steps. Kick off what's sure to be a politically-crazy 2016 at their latest show, Mock the Vote, featuring musical-comedy material ripped straight from the headlines, complete with the troupe's irreverent twist on all the candidate controversies and current affairs. With jokes aimed at both ends of the spectrum -- and pretty much all of the middle, too -- this legendary ensemble's been eliciting laughs at democracy's expense since 1981. The Steps have recorded more than 30 albums, and their radio specials are featured on NPR stations nationwide four times a year, but there's nothing like experiencing their cutting-edge comedy live at Philly's Kimmel Center.
