About The Powerhouse
After witnessing violence in his home country of Iran, Master Ramin Emami, the head coach at The Powerhouse, moved to Japan, where he became a black belt in karate, then to Canada, where he worked his way up to 5th degree black belt. Now, he runs The Powerhouse, where he passes along his knowledge of self-defense and karate to children and adults alike.
Teachers focus their instruction on building confidence, focus, and determination, all of which are skills that can translate to success off the mat. Each coach goes through in-depth training to ensure they have the techniques and knowledge necessary to bring out the best in their students. Students learn discipline and respect as they burn calories and gain strength and agility in class. The center also offers after school programs, family programs, and a belt system for students who haven't grown into their new karate pants yet.
