In Desert Cool, a noir play presented by Chicago's Public House Theatre, there's an-old fashioned Hollywood mystery afoot. Shop owner Xander Osborne has been murdered and though LAPD detective Mick Delahunt has a confession on the record, something just doesn't feel right. After having a prophetic dream about a legendary movie star and enlisting the help of Osborne's cinephile nephew, Delahunt follows a trail that leads to assassination attempts, the discovery of rare B-roll footage from a popular blockbuster and a mysterious studio head who may hold all the answers. Fans of classic Hollywood and great theater should not miss Desert Cool, which unites the best of both worlds for one unique experience.
