What You'll Get
Fall got its name when a giant bucket of orange paint dropped out of the heavens and splattered all over the October dates of the calendar. Faceplant into family fun with today's Groupon: for $20, you get $40 worth of activity tickets (44 tickets) to The Pumpkin Patch in Caledonia. Today's Groupon does not include an additional admission fee of $2 per person charged on Saturdays and Sundays at The Pumpkin Patch. On Monday–Thursday only, The Pumpkin Patch offers unlimited-access wristbands for only $7–$10; make sure to plan your visit ahead of time to ensure that you're getting the best deal value.
The Pumpkin Patch sprouts bushels of fall activities for kids and grownups alike, all on the crunchy acres of a 110-year-old converted dairy farm. Hitch a weekend ride on a horse-drawn wagon to visit the pumpkin field, where more than 40 varieties of pumpkins and gourds graze and bleat before autumn visitors pluck them up. Scratch a goat's belly or patty-cake with a pony at the petting zoo before riding atop a pony or camel (five tickets). Expertly applied paint transforms faces into cranial works of art (three tickets), and kids careen down The Big Slide for a blast of crisp fall air on their freshly painted mugs (three tickets). Patch people and aspiring astronauts achieve altitude by bouncing on the pneumatic array of inflatable rides and activities, such as the Haunted House and Cameron the Caterpillar (two tickets each). Every weekend, good witch Wanda swoops in to dispense prizes and visit The Pumpkin Patch's young visitors, and a DJ pumps out weekend tunes. The 102-year-old red Harvest Barn is packed with homemade jams and farm-fresh items for purchase, and The Pumpkin Café fills caverns of hunger with chili, taffy apples, and hot dogs. The barn's gift shop, along with its novelty and costume shop, proffer even more autumnal essentials.
